What is the Core Group?
An elected body empowered to control, direct and manage the SmartCard Networking Forum on behalf of its members. It consists of a 6-10 Full Members and up to 5 Sponsoring Members.
How are Core Group Members elected?
Core Group members are elected at the AGM by the Forum membership on the basis of the knowledge, skills and experience they are able to contribute to the Forum. They are not elected as representatives of their parent organisations.
When and where does the Group meet?
The Core Group holds steering meetings twelve times a year. Half are held face-to-face, with alternate meetings conducted as conference calls to reduce travel. Face-to-face meetings are held either in conjunction with Forum Events or in London .
How long does a term of office last?
Twelve months. You may stand for re-election as many times as you choose.
